Very Nice Wind

Date: 2/28/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: E2 on 85'
Wind: 5 to 8 mph, NNE
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 42º

This day had a wonderful wind! I did some great fades, flic-flacs, back-flips and lazy-susans, and a few back-spins. I even did 2 or 3 Jacob's Ladder rungs. This was a very fun day - great for stunt kite flying!

There's a Hole in My Sail

Date: 2/27/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: E2 on 85'
Wind: 8 to 15 mph, NW
Weather: Partly Sunny, 38º

I practiced 540's, axles, 1/2-axles, and some fades when it was calm enough. A hole got punched accidentally through the sail by the top spreader.

Date: 2/26/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: 3d on 20'
Wind: 3 to 5 mph, NW
Weather: N/A, 40º

I moved around like I was "dancing" while I was flying the 3d! No 360's. I flew a back-flip all the way to the ground. The wind died down toward the end.

T-Shirt Weather?

Date: 2/25/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: Echo on 12'
Wind: 0 to 5 mph
Weather: Sunny, 35º

It was sunny such that I just wore a T-shirt and was warm enough even though the temp was only 35º. I practiced flying into and out of fades, a few 360's. The wind was very variable.

6 More Weeks of Winter

Date: 2/3/10
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: Echo on 12'
Wind: 1 - 3 mph, NE
Weather: Sunny, 38º

The grass is all brown with all the snow gone. The groundhog saw its shadow yesterday, so 6-weeks more winter.

The wind moved around a bit. The sun was in my eyes. I flew only a few 360s and back-flips. Wasn't able to fly into fades, but I did get a few very long fades mostly while standing in one place.
