Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: E2 on 85'
Wind: 10 to 5 mph, W
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 50º

Not Using My Screwdriver

Date: 3/8/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: E2 on 85'
Wind: 7 to 14 mph, SE
Weather: Mostly Cloudy, 63º

Nice temperature - wore only a t-shirt and a lite fleece. Some good 540s, even a few on the right! Pulling an axle to a fade didn't work well today. Side-slides are getting better. I'm not using my screwdriver to stake out my lines much anymore.

There was a stronger wind than I prefer, but it was a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. I did have to fly in a different field because some guys were practicing baseball batting in my usual field.

T-Shirt Weather?

Date: 2/25/2010
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO

6 More Weeks of Winter

Date: 2/3/10
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: Echo on 12'
Wind: 1 - 3 mph, NE
Weather: Sunny, 38º

The grass is all brown with all the snow gone. The groundhog saw its shadow yesterday, so 6-weeks more winter.

The wind moved around a bit. The sun was in my eyes. I flew only a few 360s and back-flips. Wasn't able to fly into fades, but I did get a few very long fades mostly while standing in one place.

Not Soggy, Frozen

Date: 1/30/10
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: Echo on 12'
Wind: 0.5 - 3 mph, SW
Weather: Sunny, 32º at 4:00 PM

The soggy ground is now frozen. A little too much wind for the Echo. I only was able to fly a few 360s. Spirals were not as pretty as usual. I did some good fades, even flying into one. It was fun to be out again with the Echo.

Date: 1/20/10
Place: Cosmo, Columbia, MO
Kites: E2 on 85'

Weather: Sunny, 48º

Grass was a little soggy. I flew a few back-spins, flic-flacs, back-flips (some with lazy susans), 2 yo-yo's, and some OK side slides. A nice day flying.

Very Sloggy

Date: 1/16/10
Place: Cosmo Park, Columbia, MO
Kites: 3d on 20', E2 on 85'
Wind: 3 - 5 mph, NE
Weather: 40º

I flew while Annett walked. The grass was very wet and "sloggy." I tried inputs next to my side. I wanted more wind.

(Happy Birthday to my niece, Brandee, and my friend, Steve)
